Brandon woman slices sister with samurai sword
Brandon, Florida - Hillsborough deputies say 42-year-old Annette Smith was angry at her sister, so she sliced her with a samurai sword.
Smith was arrested at her Brandon home early Wednesday morning.
Authorities say Smith was waving the sword around and yelling at her sister when she made a 4-inch cut into her sister's abdomen.
The arrest affidavit states the sister tried to grab the sword, and was cut on her left fingers and hand. She has a severed tendon in her middle finger that will require surgery.

While the artist was giving the customer a tattoo, Gay came around a corner holding a long sword in one hand and a guitar in the other and struck the artist in his shoulder with the sword and hit him in the back of his head with the guitar, according to an arrest affidavit.

Tampa man guilty in samurai sword killing
TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — A Tampa jury has found a man guilty of second-degree murder in a samurai sword attack on his estranged wife's boyfriend.
Prosecutors said 47-year-old Willie Tarpley Jr. fatally stabbed Lee Alexander because he was enraged his family had fallen apart.
